My  classes

This year I am working at Jeffrey's and Powell Elementary Schools. I will be in the morning at Jeffrey's and in the afternoon at Powell.
Spanish at Jeffreys Grove is a 3rd , 4th and 5th grade special. Because the students receive a minimal number of classes the program is considered a FLEX program. A FLEX program is an exploration into the Spanish language and culture. The expectation at this level is novice low and novice mid. Students will learn some basic vocabulary words along with some basic question and answer phrases . They will become familiar with Spanish speaking countries, famous Hispanic people and different cultural aspects such as songs, dances, and holiday celebrations.
Spanish at Powell is a quarter elective. Because the students may only choose the elective once throughout the year, it is considered a FLEX program. A FLEX program is an exploration into the Spanish language and culture. The expectation at this level is novice low. The elective will focus on one comprehensive topic that will include basic vocabulary, questions/answers and culture as it relates to the topic.
